Caledonia Ducks Alternative Logos
REP18 started out as a company that builds online pro shops for its partner golf courses. Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, SC was the first course to sign up (along with its sister course, True Blue Golf Club). A few months in, we launched merchandise featuring the ‘Caledonia Ducks’, our first foray into creating alternative / secondary logos for golf courses.
Caledonia uses the Pintail, Mallard, Wood, and Redhead ducks to represent their different course yardages. These ducks are visible on the course scorecard and duck tee markers decorate each tee.
We developed a unique logo for each duck / course yardage. Through our online store, we sell duck merchandise on golf shirts, quarter zips, coffee mugs, and other types of goods. The Caledonia Ducks were launched in October 2021 and are still very popular today.
Our success with the duck merchandise gave us the key insight that customers love merchandise that is specifically created for their favorite courses.
Pairing the alternative Caledonia Ducks logo with the traditional Caledonia Golf & Fish Club logo has proven to be successful. Customers appreciate the opportunity to represent the course in a new way while still paying tribute to the course’s traditional logo.
